Recently, the Industrial College of Intelligent Manufacturing under Changzhou Institute of Technology was selected as one of the first 50 industrial colleges nationwide according to The Notice on Publishing the List of the First Modern Industrial Colleges jointly released by the general office of the Ministry of Education and the general office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The Industrial College, proposed by School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering/Flight College, marks the milestone that CIT has reached in multi-party collaborative education.
Founded in June 2019, Industrial College of Intelligent Manufacturing is aimed to develop intelligent manufacturing and foster engineer-level professionals by being based in Changzhou, oriented to Jiangsu and connected with the Yangtze River Delta. It focuses on supporting technological innovation, industrial transformation and upgrading, resource sharing, talent training and innovation resource agglomeration in Changzhou’s intelligent manufacturing. Driven forward by the development demands of the industry, it strives to build a industry-education integrated ecosystem of collaborative innovation in which the government, the industry, the university, the research institutes and the users play their due part. Back in June 2020, Industrial College of Intelligent Manufacturing was approved as one of the first key industrial colleges in Jiangsu Province.
