Recently, 5 major projects and 12 general projects proposed by Changzhou Institute of Technology were selected and supported by Natural Science Foundation of the Higher Education Institutions of Jiangsu Province, according to the 2021 evaluation result released by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. Of these projects, “Research on Electrochemical Machining of Irregular-shaped Blind Hole under the Action of Multiphysics Coupling” was rated as a major project while “Research on Segmentation and Recognition of Unstable Plaques in Carotid Ultrasound Images” was listed as a general project. These marked a record high in terms of the number of approved projects, the total amount of direct funds, and in particular, the number of major projects that takes CIT to the fore of colleges and universities in the province.
In recent years, the Office of Academic Research has attached great importance to the proposal of research projects. Its efforts to offer targeted guidance, repeated demonstration, and meticulous quality control have effectively improved the project quality, and laid a solid foundation for successful project approval.
The approval of these projects is a result from the series of measures CIT has taken to encourage project preparation and research team development, which plays a contributory role in building CIT into a university with master-degree conferring authority.
