学校现有机械工程、软件工程、电气工程和土木工程4个江苏省重点建设学科，建有省级实验室/公共服务平台4个、市级重点实验室8个、市级社科研究智库2个，与企业共建省级工程技术中心9个、市级工程技术中心8个，馆藏纸质图书124.72万余册、电子图书283万余册、电子期刊8,000种、各类数据库29个。《常州工学院学报》、《常州工学院学报(社科版)》学术期刊由我校主办国内外公开发行。

Currently CIT has 4 provincial-level key construction disciplines, namely, mechanical engineering, software engineering, electric engineering, and civil engineering. It also has 4 provincial-level laboratories/public service platforms, 8 municipal key laboratories, 2 municipal social sciences research think tanks, 9 school-enterprise cooperative engineering technology centers, 8 municipal engineering technology centers. There are over 1,247,200 paper books, 2,830,000 e-books, 8,000 e-journals, and 29 databases in the library. The Journal of Changzhou Institute of Technology and the Journal of Changzhou Institute of Technology (social sciences) are published by CIT both at home and abroad.
