On the morning of July 20, the opening ceremony of the 2018 ‘Experiencing Chinese Language and Culture’ Summer Camp for Yuhan Industry College was held on Liaohe Road campus. Leaders and relevant teachers from the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, students and teachers from Yuhan Industry College and Li Yuanhai,Chairman of Changzhou Daemo Machinery Co. Ltd attended the opening. During the ceremony, Zhu Juanfen, Dean of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation briefly introduced CIT, reviewed accomplishments of the previous camps and a warmly welcomed everyone attending. Mr Li Yuanhai emphasized China and Korea friendship and closely connections in many fields, such as economics and culture. Mr. Li said he hopes that the two countries’ youth will enhance the understanding and friendship between Chinese and Korean students. Subsequently, teacher and student representatives gave speeches to express their expectations for the following two-weeks’ study.

Since 2013 Changzhou Institute of Technology, Yuhan Industry College and Changzhou’s Daemo Machinery Co. Ltd have jointly held the ‘Chinese Language and Culture’ Summer Camp. Thus far 86 Korean students have come to the CIT camp. From their two weeks of living and studying in CIT and staying with host families, the students not only developed a better understanding of Chinese culture and culture differences, but also built a deep friendship with their respective host families.
