Exchange Visit by Dai Zhujun of CIT's School of Arts and Design to Anadolu University, Turkey

Dai Zhujun from the School of Arts and Design, CIT visited Anadolu University, Turkey, for academic exchange activities from April 1 to 7 after she was selected as an exchange teacher according to the Erasmus+ Program signed between the two universities.

Anadolu University leaders, and teachers from its Department of Communication Design and Management warmly welcomed Dai Zhujun. During her visit Ms Dai was invited to give a lecture entitled ‘The Beauty of Oriental Design’. In the lecture, Ms Dai mainly introduced the characteristics of Changzhou typical architectural building Qinguo Lane and the modern architecture of CIT’s Liaohe campus. Meanwhile, by comparing the architectural features of China, Japan and Thailand, the beauty of Oriental design was appreciated for its symbolic meaning, Buddhist connotations and functions, greatly stimulating Turkish students’ interest in Oriental buildings. In the following days, Dai Zhujun held three art workshops, taking Turkish students on a charming journey of Chinese Calligraphy.

In 2011, Anadolu University and CIT signed an international education cooperation agreement to conduct activities such as, student and teacher exchange, academic research, and art exhibitions. In October 2015, an Eramus+ Programme agreement was signed. Since this cooperation began, each year there have been frequent exchanges of teachers and students between both universities to carry out activities such as teaching and learning, lecturing, workshops, etc.
