On Oct. 16, Midwest State University’s Professor Wang Xiaodong arrived at CIT to undertake an academic exchange. CIT’s President Tang Zhenghua met Professor Wang. President Tang briefly introduced the basic school operations, key developed disciplines as well as Academy & Production Integration and expressed the desire to establish collaboration between the school of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and the research group of Professor Wang in fields such as talent cultivation, research cooperation, school-enterprise cooperation, etc.

    After the meeting, Professor Wang gave a lecture named “Analytical and Computational Models for the Study of Instability Issues of Some Fluid-Structure Interaction Problems”. The lecture introduced his recent research on hydrodynamics, solid mechanics, fluid-structure interactions, quantitative modeling of biological system and dynamical systems. He also introduced his research team, his teaching and research experiences in the university, as well as the general situation of Midwest State University. Professor Wang also met with CIT teachers to discuss research cooperation, overseas study of students, teaching and scientific study.
