Recently, eight technical entrepreneurs recommended by Changzhou Institute of Technology (CIT) were approved as undergraduate industry professors by the Jiangsu Provincial Office for the Selection of Industry Professors as it released the shortlist of the selected industry professors (part-time) for 2021. The new additions set CIT to the forefront of colleges across the province in terms of the number of proved professors.

The selection of industry professors is organized and implemented by the Office of the Talent Work Leading Group of Jiangsu Province, the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province, the Department of Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province and the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province. Since 2010 when it was launched nationwide for the first time, the first eight rounds of selection were exclusively confined to engagement of industry professors for postgraduate and higher vocational students. This year’s selection was, for the first time, to provide industry professors for undergraduates.

CIT has always attached importance to the development of industrial colleges and teaching staff. In close collaboration with well-known enterprises at home and abroad, it presses ahead with the construction of industrial colleges and the selection of industry professors in a multi-type and multi-modal manner. It strives to put its industrial colleges in a position to bring its discipline advantages into full play and contribute to the development of local economy.
