学校不断加大对外交流与合作的力度，先后与美国、英国、丹麦、法国、加拿大、新西兰、日本、韩国等20多个国家以及澳门、台湾地区的50多所高校和科研机构建立了友好合作关系，开展形式多样的交流与合作。学校常年聘请30多名长短期外籍教师来校任教，讲授语言类课程和专业课程，举办教学公开课、开展教学研讨和学术交流活动。
Constantly strengthening its international exchange and cooperation, CIT has established friendly cooperative relationships with more than 50 universities and institutions in over 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, as well as the regions of Macao and Taiwan, with whom various exchange and cooperation programs are carried out. Meanwhile, CIT employs over 30 long-term and short-term foreign teachers to teach language and professional courses every year. They also give teaching demonstration lessons, hold activities such as teaching seminars and academic exchanges.
学校拥有软件工程、土木工程、学前教育等3个中外合作办学专业，数字媒体艺术、工商管理等2个高校中外学分互认联合培养项目，3个中外合作办学项目均入选江苏省中外合作办学高水平示范性建设项目。学校通过“走出去”和“请进来”两种途径，积极加强与国（境）外高校的合作与交流，提升学生国际交流水平，培养具有国际视野的高素质应用型人才。近几年，学校每年有300多名学生通过带薪实习、联合培养、学分互认、假期研学等项目赴境外学习和交流。参加各类项目的不少毕业生被英国伦敦大学学院、爱丁堡大学、曼彻斯特大学、美国纽约大学、澳大利亚悉尼大学等世界名校录取，众多毕业生进入Intel上海研究院、花旗金融信息、甲骨文、西门子、海康威视等名企工作。
Currently, CIT has 3 China-Foreign Cooperatively-Run Programs in the majors of software engineering, civil engineering and pre-school education, all of which have been awarded as Jiangsu High-level Demonstration China-Foreign Cooperatively-Run Programs under Construction. CIT also has 2 China-foreign joint credit recognition programs in the majors of digital media art and business administration. CIT spares no efforts in strengthening communication and cooperation with overseas institutions of higher learning via “inviting” and “visiting” so as to improve students’ international communication skills and cultivate high-quality practice-oriented talents with an international vision. In recent years, the annual number of students taking part in the international programs such as co-op, joint education, credit recognition, and holiday study, etc. is over 300. Many program graduates have enrolled in world-famous universities, including University College London, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, New York University, University of Sydney, etc. Additionally, many graduates are employed in well-known enterprises, namely, Intel Shanghai Research Institute, Citigroup Financial Information, Oracle Corporation, Siemens, Hikvision, etc.
学校自1994年开始招收外国留学生，至今已培养了来自亚洲、欧洲、美洲、非洲等地区52个国家的外国留学生。学校为江苏省教育厅认定的“留学江苏”目标学校，设有国家汉办“汉语考试考点”、“常州市外国人中华文化培训基地”和“常州市外国人汉语言文化学习中心”，每年培养各类留学生400余名。
Since 1994, CIT has enrolled international students from 52 countries in Asia, Europe, America, Africa, etc. CIT is a Target School for Overseas Study in Jiangsu Province, Changzhou Learning Center of the Chinese Language & Culture for Foreigners, and Changzhou Chinese Culture Training Center for Foreigners. It is also a Hanban HSK test center. CIT cultivates over 400 international students every year.
