From May 23 to 27, Guo Hun, Dean of CIT’s School of Mechanics and Vehicle Engineering/ School of Aviation led a 4-member delegation to Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation and Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.
Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation attached great importance to CIT’s first visit. The Rector and Director of the Aviation Training Center; Mikhailovich Yuriy Yuriyevich; the Vice President Gubinka Alexander Vikdolavich; the Head of the Aviation Department, and the International Exchange Office Director, met the delegation members. The two parties gave a general introduction to their respective universities, including discipline design in civil aviation, student population size, development plans, personnel training module, etc. The two parties also discussed cooperation in areas such as flight technology, aircraft maintenance, aviation service, management, cooperation module, content, conditions, and anticipated problems. Mikhailovich Yuriy Yuriyevich agreed to strongly support cooperation between the two universities so as to cultivate international aviation talents. During the visit, the delegation visited the teaching facilities of Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation and obtained a better understanding of its talent cultivation module, university-management conditions and advantages of Civil Aviation Aircraft Operation. The professional flight training system and facilities, advanced civil aviation cultivation principle and process, meticulous and experienced professors, teachers and trainers, all left a deep impression upon the CIT delegation.
In Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, the delegation met with the Deputy Principal Assistant, Mr Sukharev Alexander Verdarievich, and Ms Varandova Viktoriya Kadariyevna, Director of the International Exchange Office. They discussed cooperation in various fields such as: short-term student exchange, teacher exchange, joint master’s degree cultivation in the fields of education, music, fine arts, etc, and reached a preliminary agreement intention. After the talks, the delegation toured the campus, a laboratory, and observed some lessons.
The delegation’s visit not only deepens the mutual understanding between the two institutions but also lays a solid foundation for future cooperation development, and will further promote the cultivation of CIT’s international civil aviation and flight talent.
