On April 27, leaders and teachers from the School of Aviation and Department of International Exchange and Cooperation went to Suzhou and met with Ashok Poduval, Dean of the School of Aviation and Anke Smith, Director of International Programs, Massey University (MU), New Zealand, to discuss cooperation in the area of Aviation Education.
Mr Poduval gave a detailed introduction into the location, development plan, curriculum design, talent training, and advantages of the MU School of Aviation. The two parties had a further discussion on a cooperation module, content and conditions, etc. and declared an intention to collaborate in the training of international aviation talent.
Massey University’s School of Aviation is one of the few institutions of higher learning that offers professional training programs to pilots. It provides bachelor, master and doctoral degree level education and has pilot-training bases recognized worldwide. It has about 60 training aeroplanes such as the Cessna 172C、Piper PA-44、Diamond DA20 and DA42, as well as a fixed-base ground simulator laboratory.
